Local people notice things about their area that no official dataset ever captures.

communiMap is where those observations go.

What is communiMap?

communiMap is a free observation app.

Record what you notice in your local area, trees, wildlife, flooding, green spaces, and add it to a shared map built by the people who live there.

Your observations go to researchers at the University of Glasgow, contribute to a growing public dataset, and are already feeding into a Hunterian Museum exhibition opening in 2027.

No expertise needed.

The map is public.

Started in Glasgow, open to anyone anywhere.
